Colors evocative of cupcake frosting and hard candy appeared in many-a-form this week (besides Nicki Minaj's wigs). From new-age designers to legacy-laden design houses, dessert hues were definitely on the map, appearing in either sorbet shades or bright Easter egg tones.
Almost half of ADAM's collection looked appropriate for a little girl's birthday party, Richard Chai Love looked to have been eating quite a bit of pistachio ice cream, and Cushnie et Ochs could have easily been on an egg hunt. Our favorite, though, was Olivier Theyskens' take on cake for his Theyskens' Theory line, particularly in an iridescent drop-hem dress that, at first glance, appeared to be pale-purple and at other times looked almost baby blue. Delicious.
