PAPER
Word of Mouth

Already a favorite across the pond for her dubstep-infused sound and soulful croon, South London's own Katy B has recently made a splash in America as well, with her smash single "Katy On A Mission" finally seeing an official US release earlier this summer. Katy and co. have been touring the world for quite some time (including a stop in NYC for a brief performance at the top of the Standard), and with the stateside release of her debut album, On A Mission, set for September, we assume that the red-haired beauty won't be slowing down anytime soon.

With that in mind, PAPERMAG asked our favorite bass-booming Brit to give us some tips on the must-haves and do-nots of international touring.

No pooping on the tour bus!

Apparently the storage tank can't take it and it stinks out the whole bus. So far none of my band has done it --  I don't think -- even though the bus doesn't smell of roses with all the boys on there.

Always make time for relaxation.

All the late nights take their toll. I get quite tense and nervous, so I always find a spa to get a massage (when I have the time before a show). It motivates me to go out and about in a new city as well.

Stock up on your entertainment.

Make sure your laptop is full of new, hot music and films so you don't get bored. I always, for some reason, buy every magazine under the sun. I start buying things like Good Food magazine and daydream about being a good cook.

Take loads of pictures

Everyone keeps telling me how much of a blur this part of my life is gonna be in a few years, so I'm trying my best to make sure I capture it all on camera --  my memory is like a goldfish's.

Always travel with a pillow.

You never know where you're gonna have to steal some sleep-- on the airport floor or on a vending machine. I have now built up a nice collection of squishy, comfy pillows!
