We love
a dinner party and were pretty pleased when this invite to one from artist and designer
Susan Cianciolo appeared in our inbox yesterday. Cianciolo, whose Uniqlo t-shirt designs
were a highlight of 2008 for us, is taking her "mobile restaurant" to the Park Slope home of
Blue Ribbon wine director
Sean Sant Amour on Tuesday, July 26th, for an evening of "local cheese and farm vegetables, corn breads, polenta, sauces, salads, crepes, frittata, and surprises." A few things about this party are exciting to us: 1) the guest of honor is the Lower East Side's
Saxelby Cheese, who will be providing a cheese plate at the end of dinner, 2) dinner comes with a ceramic cup from artist
Shino Takeda, 3) "surprises" and
4) the promise of corn bread PLURAL. Give us multiple types of corn breads and we'll follow you to the end of the earth. The whole evening is $150 a person and guests should RSVP to host
Lydia Rodrigues at L@Lydiarodrigues.com. Additional info is included in the invite above.
