Grungy Gentleman's Jace Lipstein to Design for Dickies
By Peter Davis

Dapper Dude about town Jace Lipstein (pictured above), who does the great style blog Grungy Gentleman, is now the new designer of all-American workwear label Dickies, where he will be making everything but pants (tops, outerwear and swimwear). Lipstein really knows men's clothes so expect him to spin Dickies the way Thom Browne did at Brooks Brothers with his Black Fleece label: a whole new bag of clothes. "I classify fashion into two categories; believable and playful," Lipstein tells me. "While I respect playful and think it's a key component to keeping things both innovative and creative in our industry, Dickies spring '12 is a very believable collection. There is a great amount of heritage within 'the Dickies' brand name. I did not want to stray completely away from the brand, I wanted to give my take on the line, while making it believable to the consumer and the brands aesthetic." We believe you Jace.

So this stylish, knowledgeable, "dude's dude" is taking the center stage and designing for Dickie's upper half? INCREDIBLE. I can not wait! Looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table for Dickie's and their 2012 line. Definitely got me re-interested in the brand itself.

Jace,
Sorry about the comment above. That was my auto correct on my Iphone. What I meant to say is...
This guy is the shiznit 4-shizzle. Nice Job Dickies.
I guess Iphone doesn't recognize Shiznit and 4-shiz.
Sincerely,
SV & KJP
