Do you have a good attitude. strong writing skills and a love for all things pop culture? PAPER and its marketing arm, ExtraExtra, are seeking two public relations interns to start immediately for summer. You must be smart, you must be dedicated, and you must be super-interested in PAPER. Requirements:
• You're experienced and knowledgeable in all new media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
• You're well-versed in a wide range of media. (We're interested in people who read about music, fashion, film and the like from a ton of different blogs, websites, newspapers and magazines every day.)
• You have a great eye for detail and are very organized. (Do you have a color-coded day planner? Does your heart skip a beat when someone says the words, "Excel spreadsheet?" If so, you're our person.)
• You're brave and aren't scared to talk to people you've never met.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Media list-building and database maintenance
• Project research
• Writing and editing press/marketing materials.
• Special events assistance and VIP guest relations. (If you're likely to get frazzled when someone is mean to you because they're not on the list for a party, this internship might not be a good fit.)
• Media relations support. (This includes helping us build relationships with media contacts and where having a strong knowledge of lots of different types of outlets would come in.)
Interested applicants should send a short cover letter and resume to PAPER's publicist and events coordinator, Janjay Sherman, at Janjays at papermag dot com
