Provingthat New Yorkers own more than just black dresses, the city's creatives came outcolorfully clad last night for the Museum of Arts &Design's annual young patrons gala: The Rare Earth's FLUORESCENTBALL. Guests, dressed in their best neon greens, pinks andyellows included co-chairs Waris Ahluwalia andTyson Beckford; Alison Brie; Mazdack Rassi; Eddie Borgo; James Rosenthal; SamShipley; Christian Cota; Anne Grauso; Robert Geller; Bliss Lau; ElizabethSulcer; Dani Stahl; Laura Bellafronto and Kristian Laliberte. In a brightorange suit Casey Spooner was hard to miss, as was artist Slava Mogutin in fuaxneon glasses and an airbrushed bomber jacket. Becka Diamond rocked fuchsiaeyebrows, while PAPER editor at large Peter Davis showed up in lime trousers.Party goers went back and forth from the museum's seventh floor where art byJen Kao, Rogan Gregory, Kenzo Minami and others was for sale, with proceedsbenefiting the museum; to the second floor, where DJs Paul Sevigny, LeoFitzpatrick & Chrissie Miller and Chelsea Leyland kept the crowdentertained. The evening finished off with Sevigny playing a rousing set of '50shits, with the last ones standing demonstrating their best swing moves -- aspirited way to end a colorful evening.
