The Case of the Forever 21 Vajay-Dress
By Alexis Swerdloff

So PAPER managing editor Whitney Spaner has a little bit of a sartorial conundrum on her hands. During lunch hour, she and I took a little turn around our local Forever 21, where she nabbed this funky-fresh tube dress. Whitney loves a long, form-fitting frock and was excited to try it on for the rest of the staff. (Yes, that sort of thing happens semi-regularly here at PAPER -- we're mostly girls and gays!) But when she put it on, something unsettling became immediately apparent: Not only was there a series of awkwardly-placed "v" shapes along her nether-regions, but the bottom of the dress seemed extremely, well, yonic. (Look it up; it's a good word to know.) So what's a girl to do? The dress is super-flattering on! But is it too vagina-y? Leave your comments below. And keep 'em clean-ish, people!

It looks good on you, just wear heels and a "I don't know what you're talking about" kinda look.

it's not the first thing that would come to mind but now that you say it, yes, very vadgey.

Oh, yes! Result! Vagina! Love it though, but it's a bit naughty.

Simply put: Yes, that looks like a vagina.

I like the way you ask for us to leave our comments on the whether or not it is vagina-y "below"!
Gladly!!

Eh, last time I checked my vag wasn't on my shins, so.. sure why not?

AWESOME!! Id totally wear it and be proud.

Frankly, it only looks "yonic" if you're accustomed to putting your dick in one, or if you have an O'Keeffe fetish. In any case, the vagina needs more play, so wear the damn dress.

no one is thinking of a vagina until you point out the vagina at the bottom of your dress.
if you feel weird about it, i think it would make a really hot mini. get it hemmed!

I never would have thought that if it hadn't been mentioned. I think the dress is beautiful and very attractive.

I want to know the model number so that I can get it at my closest XXI!!!
Please share, and thank you!

Are you kidding? who gives a f***. the dress is beautiful. Look hard enough and you can find genitals in most patterns.

Hi, what's the model number? Googling "Forever 21 Vagina dress" was surprisingly unproductive!

I think the model number is D52258. Let's make NY a sea of va-jay-jays!! haha.

I like it.

This is vividly vulv-tastic, in my opinion
Posted at 8:39 on May 19, 2011
Wait. Is there also a clitoris? I can't find it anywhere.

tres yonic! I'd make it into a mini but thats me! Will look good on this girl either way ;)

Agreed: yonic, vajay-jayonic, & tres O'Keefe-y. But cute anyway.

Being from Mt Shasta I know what yonic means. And honestly I didn't notice it until about 30 seconds in. Any way why not? It really looks cute on. A very cool statement. As long as the wearer isn't uncomfortable wearing it.

Dab some Spring Fresh FDS behind your ears when you trot out this number.

Think more "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and strike up a 70's vibe with aviators.

It's not something for a job interview, so why not wear it? However, I'd never wear this to visit a high school, job interview, or around someone who's generally too uptight.

i think it looks like a candle flame and i like it its very colorful

Agreed with the comment about the candle flame. The line work also reminds me of a peacock feather. Too bad it's orange and purple instead of blue and green.
The "v-shape around her nether region" is the most awkward thing for me. Otherwise, it's funky and stylish.
