So I'm putting two days into one... a bit of a blogger no-no but oh well!
My Valentine's Day was spent with funny valentine friends. We ate, watched Clueless and ate some more. I ended Valentine's Day at a party for S Magazine in a strange Chinatown restaurant thrown by the extraordinary Simonez Wolf.
Tuesday morning I woke up to prepare for Vera Wang with the young Lily Halpern. The show was so romantic and edgy. The dresses were shear and flowy leaving little to the imagination, while the color palette was reserved and mature just like the crowd. I was in the midst of extremely, chic New York society women, including my aunt Stacy Bronfman and Helen Schifter. The fur-hooded dresses were something else and I feel very weird about mentioning the pants with the half skirt cause I had a dream about them the night before.
I came home to finish up plans for a dinner I'm putting together for Sylvia and Scott. Sylvia Heisel is a designer and Scott Taylor is an artist, and they are doing a bunch or cool things including breaking up their apartment space and creating an art installation. Thus the perfect excuse for a dinner!
I then went to A Detacher at Pier 59 and sat front and center with Emilie Ghilaga and Lizzie Edelman. I thought the show was interesting... I mean the shoes didn't fit, but the prints were great and the knits looked so soft. The long vest coat is defiantly something we will be seeing a lot of.
I went out for a night on the town with party movers and shakers Paul Johnson Calderon, Alexa Greenstadt and Megan Pfautz. The Jen Kao party was fun at the Bowery Hotel but less fun than the VMan party! I walked into the huge room and fake money was falling from the ceiling!! VMan cover boy Kanye West was there and let me tell you he and his crew were hungry! Fried chicken up in the club!! The chic Zoe Kravitz and I were munching on chicken in da club!!!!
