Word of Mouth

Just because you're eating seven-layer dip doesn't mean you can't wear sequins and cufflinks. In fact, you should bring out your Sunday best for these joints, if only to blot up spinach-artichoke dip with that YSL tie you've needed an excuse to flaunt.

If automatic wine pours and a jamon-based buffet doesn't say class on Super Bowl, then
buckets of beer and corn dogs should. Bar Basque is dishing up tiered tickets, and we're
buying the ones with unlimited trips to the buffet.
4 p.m., 839 Ave. of the Americas, (646) 600-7144

Reserve a private table at Brooklyn Winery and kick back with a schmancy VIP package
of Brooklyn Brewery's suds, bottles of house wine and piles of fried things, layered
things and dipping things at their Brooklyn Bottle Bowl.
5 p.m., 213 N 8th St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn, (347)763-1506

For those without a care for the great American pastime of "what's-a-first-down-again?" Joe's Pub is throwing an Uber-Bowl with live, and inevitably snarky commentary from unknowledgeable football fans including Michael Musto, Patrick McDonald, Cintra Wilson, Kristen Johnston and Zachary Booth.
6 p.m. 425 Lafayette Street, (212) 539-8778. Tickets are available here.

Ensconce yourself in pinstripes and leather at The Windsor where the Super Bowl will play against a boozy backdrop of swizzles, Champagne and short ribs. Say yes to macaroni and cheese with black diamond cheddar and truffles.
234 W 4th St., (212) 206-1208

Private screening room? Check. Nachos? Check. Beer buckets? Check. Penthouse suite
with private terrace for post-game action? Check. The Tribeca Grand has reserved your
Sunday itinerary.
6 p.m., 2 Ave.of the Americas, (212) 519-6600.

So maybe buffalo chicken isn't all that fancy (unless you're dipping in Roquefort blue cheese), but at Fatty Johnson's you can buy a whole one (what does a whole buffalo chicken look like?), for $25 and a smattering of pickleback varieties, which we refuse to believe is not super-classy.
50 Carmine St., (212) 929-5050.
