Our favorite freewheeling women's designer Betsey Johnson debuted her new shoe line with retalier Steve Madden over Fashion Week and we're a little obsessed. Mr. Mickey chatted with Betsey about what a girl needs to know to put her best (dressed) foot forward.

 
Betsey, what's the sexiest thing about a ladys' shoe?
It isn't always the shoe itself.  Shoes of all silhouettes can be sexy -- what makes shoes most sexy is when the woman wearing them walks with confidence.

Your new line of shoes for Steve Madden have a lot of your signature looks -- cabbage roses and leopard print for starters. Are the shoes a critical part of creating a Betsey look?
It all starts with the feet!

Everything from MIA and Joy Division to Prince and The Ramones.

Can you describe your new collection in five words or less?
