The art world likes to run in groups (certainly, movements and private circles, but also gangs and tribes), and there's been no stronger pack in recent memory than the close-knit group who coalesced around the now defunct Deitch Project galleries in the mid-aughts. Jeffrey may have defected for the sunnier coast, but by the looks of it at the Wynwood district on Thursday night the punky street spirit he bankrolled is still alive and well.
