on the front lines of cultural chaos since 1984.

Metric has the honor of being the headlining act at the big free "Art Loves Music" concert during Art Basel Miami Beach 2010 Wednesday night.  Today's video features the Canadian band performing their song "Gimme Sympathy"  from their fourth and newest album Fantasies and it starts with singer Emily Haines in a dressing room, follows her down a hall and onto a stage where she performs the track with the rest of the band.  They start to change roles (and clothes) with different people lip-synching the lyrics or playing instruments. At the end, a flock of butterfly-children invade the stage and drift outside. Over the years, these beach concerts have featured the Scissor Sisters, Iggy & The Stooges, Peaches, Yelle and Ebony Bones and we're looking forward to another great show with Metric. They'll be performing on the beach between 21st and 22nd Streets, just behind The Oceanfront exhibition area.See you there!
