MTV wants to return to its roots, ie music videos. They aren't goingto abandon their reality-show cash flow entirely, it's more of anexperiment to hire cool directors and make (and pay for) their ownclips, or as they call them "supervideos." LCD Soundsystem's Musto-slamming "PowPow" directed by David Ayer and starring Anna Kendrick (Twilight, Up in the Air)gets the honor of being the first. Anna chooses a bracelet, leaves herhotel in LA with several Blackwater employees and heads off to Drai'snightclub in the car JFK was riding when he was assassinated. Theyconfront a "wicked man" who won't sign her lawyer's importantdocuments, so she gives him a quick "talk-to-the-hand" and zaps himwith a Freemason logo. She and her posse do this several times aroundtown and then they all end up back at a secret lodge to confront theGrand Master. Got it?
