The gays and the gay-friendlies were out in full fashion force last night for Fashion Forward, an auction/party/runway show hosted by Tim Gunn and featuring the clothes of Diane Von Furstenberg, Richard Chai, Anna Sui, Yigal Azrouel and Simon Spurr. Unlike most fashion shows, however, this catwalk parade involved front row guests like David and Philippe Blond, Patricia Field, Marjorie Hill, Lydia Hearst, Kelly Bensimon, Jeffrey Costello and Robert Taglapietra, Wendy Williams and Andrew Mukamal (in an amazing sequined leopard print black tee shirt) as well as lots and lots of cocktails. But all the boozing was for a good cause: GMHC, which is the nation's oldest HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care services providers. The night, which involved a silent auction (Lydia Hearst scored a porcelain boot sculpture, the hat Ke$ha wore on the Summer 2010 cover of Paper was also up for grabs) was sponsored by the Bank of America, CFDA, Diane von Furstenberg, Insignia, Jeffrey Fashion Cares and Delta - so now you know where to bank, shop and fly if you want to support the LGBT community. The whole night raised more than $250,000 for GMHC. Fashion+cocktails equals cold hard cash for a great cause!
