Last night Paper's Jennifer Sample and I joined our fabulous friends Amina Akhtar, Ayesha Ahmad, Ameena Meer, Sohail Yunus and Amir Zia and a parade of other do-gooders for NYC Hearts Pakistan a benefit for Doctors Without Borders and their work on Pakistan Flood Relief. The Salon at the Tribeca Grand Hotel hosted the event and Bear Flag donated wine. Nick Lawson (accompanied by his DWB colleague Jennifer Tierney) spoke to the crowd about the organization's on going humanitarian work (they currently distribute over 1 million liters of clean water daily and tend to tens-of-thousands of people affected by the floods). Special NYC Hearts Pakistan t-shirts were also designed by Catherine Malandrino, Nanette Lepore and Preen. 100 % of the dough raised is going to the charity. What's more fun than partying for a great cause!?
