No.6, the fashion/art store is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a chic bang by having musician/artist Kim Gordon publish a portfolio of her paintings titled "The Noise Paintings." For the project, Gordon took a lyric from the Fleetwood Mac song "Rhiannon" ("she is like a cat in the dark/and then she is the darkness") and made a series of 14 single word paintings on canvas paper, then transformed them into mimeograph prints sold in sets that are limited to an edition of 400 and sell for only $40. Bargain! Want to wear Gordon's work too? You can buy a limited series of silk tee shirts with the painted, dripping black words "darkness" and "she." The shirts would make a perfect Christmas present for Stevie Nicks.
