PAPER
Mr. Mickey

It's no secret that Mr. Mickey loves him some Dots. How could he not? The movie theater candy vets are chewy, yummy and, since they have no gelatin, are cruelty-free. Nonetheless, my relationship with Dots has been touch and go as of late. Who can forget two weeks ago when the PAPER offices were rocked by the arrival of Candy Corn Dots in the editorial department treat bowl? Though some were skeptical, most of us were excited to try this unexpected combination. Needless to say -- but I'll say it for the few souls out there, including moi, for whom the very prospect of a candy-corn-flavored gumdrop doesn't send screaming into the night -- Candy Corn Dots are pretty awful. But I wasn't ready to give up on one of my favorite sweet treats, and was happy to stumble upon the brand's other Halloween one-off: GhostDots on a recent trip to Walgreen's. These are basically the same taste as regular Dots, but come in a spooky pallor. The packaging is so fun -- love that cute little Casper-esque fella on the front of the box -- and we always get a thrill out of trying a newcandy. Hello, this blog is all about new candy!!!! The end.
