1. Be sure to check out the current show of photos from Lyle Owerko's book The Boombox Project (Abrams Image) at Clic Gallery (255 Centre Street).  Pick up a copy of the book while you're there.  In addition to cool shots of vintage "ghetto blasters," there are some comments from LL Cool J, Beastie Boys and Spike Lee.

2. Former PAPER covergirl/columnist Ann Magnuson is here from L.A. to perform at Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand Street) from October 14 to 16, at 8 p.m.  She's doing a show called "Dueling Harps" with Adam Dugas that promises "an evening of gorgeous melodies with a theatrical flourish."  Sounds good to us.  Tickets and more info are here.
