Word of Mouth
sunoblogone.jpgThroughout New York Fashion Week, the designers behind one of our favorite new lines, SUNO (Erin Beatty and Max Osterweis), will be reporting from the front lines of the madness. Though their immaculate presentation of bold, eclectically-patterned, occasionally-sparkly, highly-wearable pieces took place yesterday at Milk Studios, Erin sent us a little report, detailing the trials and tribulations behind figuring out what to wear.

What to wear?  Alright, so it's three hours before the show, and I'm trying to figure out what to wear. Somehow over the past week we've pulled together a 31 look presentation, and everything that goes into that, yet, I have zero idea of what to do with myself.  Strangely, everything else is going smoothly. We left around 10 p.m. last night, after the last girl was confirmed (at 9 p.m.) in our line-up, and as the collection was getting packed up in garment bags. Obviously we weren't super active on Fashion's Night Out. Max wanted to put some more time into the music and I wanted to collapse. Today we arrived early at the MAC/Milk space to check out the set-for the first time. Obviously we'd seen drawings, but like with clothes, you really aren't sure until it all comes together: designs, patterns, prints and fabrics, no different than lighting, backdrop music and floors. Thankfully, it's gorgeous.  So it's all coming together, well beyond the show. The fabrics, the designs, the press, our amazing collaborators, our team, the new workshop we're building in Kenya even our little garment center office-they're all coming together. And I still don't know what to wear. Typical.
