Word of Mouth
standarde-homeimage.jpgWelcome to the fourth and, sniffle, final guest blog written by Stan D'Arde --the debonair, anonymous diplomat of the Standard Hotel. Stan has been bringing us the scoop on all of the impossible chicness going on at the Standard this past Fashion Week. Here, he gives us a final run down of the fun. Take it away, Stan.

Oh, my little Stan D'electables!

We never thought we would make it through another fashion week at The Standard, New York, but we did.  It always seems like an impossible mission, but when it's over, you look back and think "That was it???"

I want to thank all my gorgeous peeps at PAPER for letting me be a part of their world, if only for a very few exciting seven days. Kim,David, Mickey, Drew, Peter, Elizabeth. I thank you!

So, now that it's all over, let's revisit the shenanigans thatwent down.  I'm hoping I'll be able to remember it all after all thosedelicious martinis on the rooftop!

On Thursday, the space formerly known as The Boom Boom Room reopened after it's summer slumber with animpromptu 3 a.m. performance byKanye West!  Liv Tyler, Courtney Love & Naomi Campbell almost lose their minds.

On Friday night, Fashion's Night Out had the fashion elite seeking refuge on the 18th floor of the hotel whileAnna Wintour continued to cause Manhattan mayhem on the streets below.

Saturday brought with it the chaos that is the season Purple Magazine party. Olivier Zahm put out the call for bacchanalian behavior, and the masses did not disappoint. Terry Richardson,Chloe Sevigny, Devon Aoki and more.

Sunday was a slow night, but I made the most of it by making acameo street level at the 18th floor's velvet ropes. I elegantly turnedaway the masses, while I granted access to our minxy members.

On Monday, V brought down the house with it's party forIssue 67: New York.  If you weren't there, I am not going to be able to describe the genius that went down. I promisedCecilia Dean I'd keep my lips sealed.

I almost was losing it by the start of Tuesday, but then I recharged with a gorgeous dinner on the roof ofLe Bain in celebration of the cute French kids of Zadig & Voltaire.  Chicness abounded.

I thought I was going to be able to take Wednesday off, but then realized I couldn't when I found my invite to the L'Wren Scott luncheon in The High Line Room on the 3rd floor. A few air kisses. A little salad. A nibble of charcuterie on a crostini, and I was out of there!

With Thursday's arrival, I pulled a Whitney Houston and just sat there and EXHALED.  Fashion week was over, and I had made it through once again. Now, preparations for what to wear and where to go NEXT season are only just beginning. Hoping to see you there.

All My Love Always...
