Though it's typically clogged with bumper-to-bumper traffic, thisweekend the Sunset Strip was turned into a five-block-long concert hall for the Sunset StripMusic Festival. In celebration of the Strip'srich music history, ticket buyers could jump from club to club to hear artists like Smashing Pumpkins, Semi Precious Weapons and Neon Trees at Sunset's most hallowed venues, including the Roxy, the Whiskey A-Go-Go, and the Viper Room. Their weer outdoor sets as well on huge stages lining the street, where I caught some of my favorite performances of the evening. Slash was incredible and came out wheeling a meanguitar solo, while Nikki Six and Fergie accompanied him with the lyricsto "Paradise City."  (The night before Fergie and Slash were filming  an upcoming videocalled "Beautiful Dangerous.")  Later, a vibrant Kid Cudidanced out on stage singing "Pursuit of Happiness," for a crowd that sang along, word for word.
