Hanson's "Shout It Out" Tour Diary: Part I

Hanson's lead singer Taylor Hanson is quite the photographer and is kindly documenting life on the road with his brothers for PAPERMAG as they cross the country on their "Shout It Out" Tour.
The first week of tour's been both hectic and fantastic. The road life beats you down, but I love finishing everyday exhausted from the journey. A few great gigs, loud fans, some rock with buds Rooney and a stop into Jimmy Fallon's show with a bit of Questlove time -- good times. And more ahead. Here are pics from tour buses/alleyways/stages and beyond as seen through the eyes of a wandering shutterbug.

Photos like these say things a 1000-word article just can't. I've been a fan for all five albums (not like some of these nubes that just hopped on board recently for "Thinking 'Bout Somethin")but I had no idea he was into taking pictures. Love this hardcore.

Taylor. I'm seeing you guys in Richmond tonight and it would honestly mean the entire world to me if you played "Weird" that has been my all time favoritest Hanson song ever and it would be the most amazing thing if I got to hear it! thanks :) xo

Whoa, these photographs are actually very good. Taylor should consider doing a book of photography-- he's certainly got an eye for a good picture! Does Hanson have a new album out? Haven't listened to them in years.

Taylor, amazing photos, amazing concert july 24th.. what kind of camera is that? it almost resembles a holga, but it looks a little more durable. the photo of the circus tent empty.. is my favorite.

LOVE the pics!!! I'll be in Richmond tonight, also and I agree with Megan. I love "Weird" even though it's been forever since that song was released. I've never seen you guys do that one live. BUT! I'm also in big time "Running Man" request mode. Can't wait for the show tonight!!! Been a fan from the beginning :-)

Such unique photos! I always look forward to seeing the photographs he takes on Hanson.net. Thanks for posting them for us! It was really cool seeing the last one of the juggler on South Street, especially since I was driving by at the time XD By the way, terrific performance in Philly!

I thought the fact that Taylor and Zac both play piano, drums, and keyboard made them 10 times hotter than usual. I know Zac paints, so that gave him an edge over Taylor in the hotness department. Who knew Taylor took pictures? I didn't, and I've been a fan since 1997 too. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention. Thank you for publishing this, Papermagazine! Musical and artsy and beautiful and socially conscious and goofy.. That is why I love Hanson. Not *just* because they are beautiful, for the record.

Keep taking pictures of Isaac until he gets used to it and stops pulling away from the camera and closing his eyes and everything else. Get him to like the camera, to make friends with the camera, to make love to it.

Seriously though Tay and Zac are more comfortable and therefore they look good in their photos. I think Isaac is handsome and he would look better if he were comfortable too.
