Between running Club 57 and writing a column for PAPER, actress and performer Ann Magnuson was one half (along with indie legend Kramer) of psychedelic anti-folk duo Bongwater, whose 1991 video for "The Power of Pussy" was recently uploaded by director Richard Metzger. Metzger writes: "This Bongwater video had a budget of $1000 and $600 of that went to Ann's hair and make-up, with the remainder going to pizza and videotape stock." The video features an animated anthropomorphic pubis, a be-wigged Magnuson, and guest vocals from the B-52s' Fred Schneider.
