Benn Northover stopped by the PAPER offices yesterday to chat about his upcoming projects, including AIDS drama
House of Boys and
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (more about that coming up on PAPERMAG). Northover is in New York co-organizing "Return to the Pleasure Dome" an
Anthology Film Archives benefit at Hiro Ballroom celebrating both the Archives' 40th birthday and the work of director
Kenneth Anger. Northover interned at Anthology Film Archives while he attended Stella Adler, and has since befriended Archives founder
Jonas Mekas, for whom he's curating a photography show in London later this year. The event, which Northover says is "to remind New York City that the Archives are something they believe in," will feature performances from Anger's and
Brian Butler's band
Technicolor Skull,
Lou Reed,
Sonic Youth,
the Virgins,
Now We Are Here and a DJ set by
Moby. Tickets are available
here.
