Word of Mouth
Alice in Wonderland)_01.jpg The great thing about TimBurton's Alice In Wonderland is that it causes other studios to unearththeir similar tributes to Lewis Carroll. My favorite is this 1933bizarre black and white film directed by Norman Z. McLeod with anall-star cast -- W. C. Fields as Humpty Dumpty, Gary Cooper as the WhiteKnight, and Cary Grant as the Mock Turtle. But the weird costumes andstrangeness of it all really creeped me out as a kid, and watching thepristine print on DVD again reminded me just how odd it is. 'Drink Me'indeed!
