The Subjects Subject Themselves to Food on the Road

Those of us with a few road trips under our belts know that finding good food along America's highways is a task that's tough to stomach. During the month of October, Brooklyn-based band The Subjects are setting out on a tour which will cover 15,000 miles and include 27 shows within a 31-day period. They have no driver, no roadies, no chef, and an extremely limited budget. Working within these limitations, and using only their sense of smell and their smartphones, they'll seek to uncover the country's best restaurants, cafés, and home cooking.
