I'm often floored by the amazing people I have collected throughout my life that I call my friends. And I have some doozies. I not only collect people but the stuff that they make as well. I must have a hundred pairs sublime earrings by my old friend Ted Muehling. My house is filled with my longtime amazing friend Ingo Maurer's perfect witty lamps. I have artwork, books and buttons by my amazing artist friend Tauba Auerbach. My laptop sits in a dribble-painted case my amazing friend KR made. My kitchen clock is customized by my amazing friend Kenny Scharf. My dog is walked on a leash by my amazing friends ThreeAsfour. And every night I curl up on my bed with a pop art cozy dollar bill shawl by Jeremy Scott. You get the picture.

When I told Andy Spade that I'd always dreamt of having a store, he confided that he'd always dreamt of having a magazine! When Andy invited me to curate his space called Partners & Spade (40 Great Jones St.) and turn it into a store, I jumped at the chance! It could be my dream store without the nightmare of owning one! I am calling the show/store "MY AMAZING FRIENDS." Its my fantasy store filled with all my favorite friends' stuff that they create. I think it's the best store on Earth. So bring money, cause trust me, you'll want to buy some of this amazing stuff. I promise.
