1. The Kid's got talent. Kid Cudi is acting in a new HBO comedy series called How to Make it in America produced by Mark Wahlberg.

2. Tony Alva and Richard Villa III curated a big art exhibit - "Die Posers Die!" -- in L.A. featuring works by skater/artists including Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi, Pat Ngoho, Lance Mountain and more. The show opens on Saturday, May 9, at Exhibit A Gallery (1086 South Fairfax) from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Howie Pyro is DJing. RSVP here.

3. A new Claw Money show opens tonight, May 8, at Eastern District (43 Bogart Street, Brooklyn) 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and stays up until May 12. The event is sponsored by Belvedere Vodka, and she'll be there to "meet, greet and tweet" tonight.

4. Lincoln Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, starting with a big bash at Alice Tully Hall on May 11. Go here for the entire schedule -- including Chubby Checker on July 8. Lets twist again!

5. The Delaware Department of Transportation sent out an instructional newsletter in an effort to fight workplace discrimination, but the newsletter itself was pretty offensive. Read it and weep here.

6. Countries participating in this year's Venice Biennale for the first time include Gabon, Montenegro, Pakistan, Monaco and UAE.
