Warner Brothers Archive Collection!

I heard recently about an intriguing new offer from Warner Brothers: Scores of titles from their library have been transfered to DVD, and are available through the website. And new ones are added each month. The first one I sent for was Crescendo, a 1970 Hammer studio thriller starring Stefanie Powers as a young woman who goes to a remote villa to work on her thesis about a dead composer. I've had horrible video bootlegs for years of this one. The other I ordered was My Blood Runs Cold, a 1955 goofy suspense tale directed by Jake And The Fatman's William Conrad starring Troy Donahue as a weird boy who is convinced a girl (sexpot Joey Heatherton) is the reincarnation of his lost love. They arrived the other day, and look spectacular. Beautiful tranfers both, they look and sound fabulous. I can only hope other studios do the same! But I'm keeping my fingers cross for upcoming Warner Brothers titles like The Chapman Report, The Couch, Claudelle English and Two On A Guillotine....
