Michele Lamy: One Part Rick Owens' Business Partner, One Part Rick Owens' Wife

Saying that Michele Lamy stands out in a crowd is an understatement. She is actually the focal point of any crowd, at any time, at any day. Sporting gold teeth accented with diamonds is always expected, day or night, but backstage at her husband and business partner Rick Owens' Paris show, she glammed it up in knee-high fur boots and Gareth Pugh leggings. Michele is not what you expect though; she is fascinating, extremely intelligent and someone who lets you know that she is interested in what you have with a fixated eye contact. And believe me, genuine interest is a rare commodity backstage at a fashion show.

And she tells great Gareth Pugh stories too! She and Rick are investors in Pugh's line, and apparently they came to meet when Pugh wrote a letter asking for an internship. According to Michelle, she knew just from the letter that he was special. Conversations ensued and the couple flew Pugh out to meet them. The rest, as they say, is history.
