Those braving the freezing L.A. weather and the veritable maze of Chinatown’s plazas found themselves at the grand opening of Cheap Monday’s pop-up shop this past Saturday. The shop, tucked away in the cozy nook of Gin Ling’s Gift store, was remodeled into a denim fashionista’s idea of heaven. DJ RoRo filled the small space with indie tunes and the Tecate flowed as everyone appreciably fondled the goods. Cheap Monday’s signature sleek styles were on full display, with a few wild additions such as a super-super high-waisted stonewashed creation and a bright grass green skinny. The WKND tees were crazy cute, while the comfy peacoats and chunky knits looked particularly inviting on such a brisk night. We look forward to the year-long little shop sprucing up our Chinatown. Illegal firecrackers, dim sum and Cheap Mondays what more could you ask for?
