Reality Bites: Kim Zolciak From The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Kim Zolciak, known for her illustrious golden locks, smoky voice and mysterious sugar daddy known only as “Big Papa” has some news: She is 30, not 29, has since split from said Big Papa, and is slated to pose for an upcoming winter issue of Playboy. Dallas Austin recently declared on his MySpace that he is NOT working with Kim, but she has since signed with a new label. Kim is often the center of drama among the other Real Housewives of Atlanta," next Tuesday's reunion special looks to be no different with Kim being threatened not only by NeNe, but Lisa as well. To tide you over before D-day, Kim sets us straight on her age, love life and career.
How are the blogs treating you these days?
I try to stay away from them. Initially they were great, and they just got worse and worse. I don't think people can see who you are from seven episodes that are one hour each.
What do you say to people who call you a gold digger?
They can know that when I married my ex-husband he made $22,000 dollars a year and I was a nurse and a waitress. I knew nothing about what Big Poppa had [financially] for six to nine months. I've been rich and I've been poor and God can take it and give it. Buying the Escalade, I mean good God. People are all going to talk. The check didn't bounce, I still have the car -- nice try people.
What is a typical day for you?
I have an amazing life. My girls go to a private school, and then I come home and have my coffee and chill out. I'm always with my girlfriends. I'm working with a new record label, I have lunch with my girlfriends, pick up my kids and then it's homework time.
New record label?
WEG Records. It's an independent label and they are re-negotiating my contract at this time.
What happened with Dallas Austin?
I have not spoken to him to comment at this point. The way he appeared on the show was definitely not his true character, and it wasn't a good portrayal of what was going on. It's become a joke and he has worked with some major people. I don't blame him at all for what he's saying.
Did you feel misrepresented at any time?
Yes, absolutely. It's for entertainment. My singing career was not an accurate portrayal of me singing. And I drink in every episode it seems. I do love wine but for God's sake! I'm a loyal friend and the way it was portrayed it didn't necessarily show that.
What's going on with Big Papa?
I called off my engagement. The big news is that we are no longer together. I tried to avoid him being on the show. He wasn't kept a secret for any other reason. He is estranged from his wife. There has been so much speculation, and it's funny to me.
How has your life changed since the show went on the air?
Oh lord. Well, I've had to get tougher skin for sure. I take everything kind of personally. I lived my life with my girls, and I no longer have that luxury. Of course you get recognized all the time, which I love. My older one reads the blogs. She's 11. I tell them just to remain true to who they are.
How are things between you, NeNe, Lisa and the rest of the ladies? The reunion looks pretty heated.
Drama drama drama. Some stuff took its toll. It's, “she said, she said.” I'm closest to Sheree at this point. I really like her. It's not exhausting to be around her. NeNe and I are working it out, and Lisa and I are not necessarily speaking at this point.
Are you really 29? Set us straight.
I'm actually 30, and [the controversy] is hilarious to me. In some of the clips there was a ton of makeup on me. In some of the footage I look like I'm 50 years old. I'm 30. I'm like a size 2. People tell me I'm so much prettier in person. TV makes you look so much different. I'm working on shooting a cover of Playboy. I guess 30 ain't that bad.
Will you do another season?
Absolutely. Given the opportunity, I want people to see more of my true character.
Final thoughts?
It's cheesy. It's entertainment. People take stuff to heart. Can you believe I'm the only white woman on the show? I don't even see it that way. It's never been an issue; with the girls or I. it just is what it is. They picked the blond one too. About as white as you can get. It's been a great experience. I don't regret it at all.

I think anyone who is in the spotlight as these stars are should be protect themselves personally. There is a product that shoots like a gun, 15 ft but that isn't lethal- its the TASER C2--even comes in PINK! If I were out like these women are I wouldn't want to be without it. It stops a person, puts them on the ground unable to move for 30 seconds. PROTECT YOUR LIFE and get confidence and peace of mind!

Really? Believing this babydoll hair wearing broad is the equivilent of signing up for a geography class taught by Sarah Palin...a joke. If she could sing she would have NEVER let that even be shown, it ruined her career before she started. According to her Dallas is her "Great Friend willing to work with her whenever SHE is available." Dallas Austin is no longer a well known producer he's behind the scenes making his money and has been since Diddy made stunting in your artist videos look like a real job. He had no choice but to denounce her foolishness in order to save professional face. I feel sorry for these women, although I thoroughly enjoy the entertainment, I can return to obscurity after 11 on Tuesday night they become food for bloggers and their lives bait for scrutiny.

Of course she'd be back on the show! She has nothing to do in life except be tacky, fake, rude as well as a horrible mother blowing second-hand smoke in her children's lungs. For a non-ethnic woman living within a black community, I found many of her comments to be dumb, disgusting and very ignorant.

Went to school with Kim and hung out with her....everyone can believe what they want....but all lies from Kim.....always have been. No class and she's always "dated" (to keep it clean) married men. Ask her about her days in Windsor Locks CT and a certain police sergent (and that's just one story!!!!). Someone should have contacted people from WL High as our entire school only had 4oo people. Very small town and we all have stories about Kim as she caused controversy back then and was always after money and other people's boyfriends/husbands! Not a good person! Oh, and by the way, not misrepresented at all!! Nothing has changed. Same girl I remember!

Kim is just about as bad as that piece of trash Sheree. She's right they are just alike. It's been said that when you're obsessed with something, you usually have something to hide. i have a question, ok maybe a couple but anyway, does Kim work or have worked? where is this exhusband and why does he not have the girls? OMG you can tell Kims hair is not real, i liked watching the show except her part ooo and Sherees it was funny, I own my business and that is a funny way to start a fashion line. It took me 2 years to get mine off the ground even with all the money UP Front. Now let's really get real here !! Kim is a really sweet lady. This show had to air some drama or else it would have been a flop !! Which it was NOT !! For some reason, I have to believe G on this blog. You can't tell me this chick is a nurse and something about her screams redneck/whitetrash. Trust me, nursing is serious business, instructors and employers don't even like you to be flashy with your lipgloss and hair so, I know she couldn't have been a real nurse, plus you have to have some damn common sense to even pass the nursing exam in most states. I've been reading other blogs of people that claim to have gone to school with Kim in CT and they all scream the same thing about her, in so many amount of words, she's nothing but trouble. Notice that she never mentions that she has a job/career. Even the other women that are really housewives have foundations or are working towards something that they have a passion for. This chick is CLUELESS, if you are 30 years old NOW and you want to maintain screwing every man with a nice bank account then you might want to step your game up fashionwise because you will remain broke in those threads. Kim is so full of shit. Very fake. If you cant figure it out from the show, you can if you watch interviews with her. She never knows what the hell she is talking about. Why lie about so many things? She really is a mistress if she is sleeping with a married man, even if she cant get that through her head. It appears she may have a drinking problem. She teaches her children it's ok to be materialistic. She's vain. What a horrible example to set for your children. I lost all respect for her after she lied about having cancer. It's pretty low when you go to that level to get attention. It's actually sickening.
Btw whether she is a cna or lpn, she claims to have a degree in nursing. I think both careers come with certifications, not degrees. I'm just curious is she lying about that too
