1. For sale: A pair of Shea Stadium "blue" seats are $2,499.99 on eBay (available at the end of the current baseball season), the Bumper Car ride from the now shuttered Astroland is only $125,000 on rides4u.com and a zebra encased in formaldehyde by Damien Hirst has an estimate of $4 million at Sotheby's.
2. Speaking of which, the Sotheby's auction of 200 new works by the aforementioned Mr. Hirst is set to rock the art world next week (September 15 & 16 in London) whether it succeeds or fails. If it reaches the estimate of $92 million, expect more artists to bypass galleries and sell new works through auction houses and if it flops, you'll see lots of pissed off collectors wondering why they paid so much for their Hirst.
3. Save the date: Coachella 2009, April 17 to 19.

4. The second edition of the all-night takeover of the Brooklyn Academy of Music will take place on Saturday, September 27 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. featuring a music program curated by Sufjan Stevens, DJs King Britt and Victor Duplaix and various films and video art. Tickets are $20 in advance.
5. JetBlue is auctioning off hundreds of flights this week on eBay with opening bids of only 5 and 10 cents.
6. The Financial Times reports that "one in four fragrances sold in Barneys, is from Frederic Malle,"
and that 600 new perfumes are launched every year.
7. A.R.E. Weapons at Santa's tonight (Sept. 8) and Roisin Murphy at Mansion on October 24. Murphy was the singer with Moloko and has released a couple of great solo LPs. We saw her in Barcelona over the summer and her live show was brilliant. Buy a ticket now at saintatlarge.com.
