This weekend was Mr. Mickey's First Annual Celebrity Sidewalk Sale at Screaming Mimi's to benefit charity:water hosted by Mr. Mickey, Charlotte Ronson, Peter Davis, Julia Frakes, Star von Bunny and Emma Snowdon-Jones.

MM came up with the idea while staring at the four garbage bags of old clothes sitting in his living room waiting to go to Housing Works thrift store. Charity:water is an amazing charity started by Scott Harrison (featured in PAPER's April 2008 Beautiful People issue) that builds fresh water wells in developing countries. The sale was a hoot attracting all sorts of shopaholic cuties like Michael Musto & Lynn Yaeger, The Trinity and hundreds more. Whitney, Christina, Michelle and Lee worked the tables like hos... um pros... Caroline worked the crowd luring in customers... and the kids from Mimi's sold sold sold!

The total take with 100 percent of the loot going directly to the charity was 6,159 smackers!!! And this is just the beginning! This is a biannual event with the first Summertime Celebrity Sidewalk Sale at Screaming Mimi's Montauk store in July and every September at Mimi's on Lafayette Street. Also starting November 1st, Mimi's will have a small in-store charity:water boutique featuring fancy designer duds with 100 percent of the sale price going to charity:water. Being good never felt so fashionable!!!
