Word of Mouth

Of course you know The Donald, who hosted, and obvs you're a fan of Carolina, who graced us with her Grande Dame presence, but do you know Alma? And Ana? What about Jesus? These, my amigos, are the first names in Spanish fashion and they, along with looks from their unique and delectably euro collections, we on view last night at the Trump SoHo Showroom.

I was enjoying an endless supply of chocolate covered strawberries and fake city views when I glimpsed a gent who looked like he was wearing Thom Brown for David Bowie or something. Egads it was thrill-o! A smashing mash-up of tailoring, texture and glorious irredencensce, the suit was designed by Ana Gonzalez for her label Ana Locking, and it made me want an Espanish Esboyfriend, just for the clothes of course. Her women's looks, it turns out, are equally exciting...

Less futuristic but no less chic was the work of my second crush, Miss Alma Aguilar who was so effortlessly dressed she could have been a native New Yorker. Her friend, and sometime translator was looking poised, composed and un poquito Chanel in the designer's gauzy blouse and knitted high-waist skirt. My spanish is abominable but I think the expression is yo quiero eso?

The exhibit continues for at least another week, though the chocolate-covered strawberries are gone, so get thee to Soho take in some very Ethpecial Ethpanish Ethstylings.
