Victoria Sambunaris: Lancaster, Pennsylvania

AM: Where do you live?
VS: Mostly in my car

AM: How did you become an artist?
VS: By being curious about the world, avoiding the norm and using the camera as my outlet.

AM: What is the oddest job you've ever had?
VS: Climbing the Great Sand Dunes in search of the place where desert, forest and mountain meet.

AM: Who's your favorite non-living artist?
VS: Emile Zola

AM: What book are you reading at the moment?
VS: The Education of Henry Adams

AM: When are you happiest with your work?
VS: When I am looking through the ground glass and hitting the shutter.

AM: What is your favorite travel destination?
VS: Remote western towns and landscapes

AM: What do you find most sexy?
VS: The unknown

AM: What is your favorite piece of art that you own?
VS: My rock collection

AM: What is your favorite walk?
VS: Walking around Manhattan after returning from a cross-country trip.
