So did anyone else tune into the Animal Planet channel Sunday night and see the Puppy Super Bowl? Where they dump a bunch of hyper, starved puppies into a miniature football field with cameras on it and add asoundtrack of screaming crowds and a hysterical commentator. It was sick sick sick. I was GLUED to it for at least an hour till I dragged myself to the tents for the Miss Sixty show. Which, by the way, was cute in a Ashley Olsen type of hippie way. Who by the way was sitting in front row next to Chloe Sevigny. Who, by the way, had a party last night celebrating her new collection for Opening Ceremony at Webster Hall where The Slits performed. When I heard the SLITS I was like OHMYGOD. Blast from my punk past.

But back to Superbowl night. After Miss Sixty we were invited to a dinner to celebrate their collection at Socialista (which was fun... we got to meet Vichy the designer who was sweet) and to another dinner around the corner at Diane Von Furstenberg (pictured above with Ahn Duong) 's new studio on 14th Street. DVF brought the entire Indochine Restaurant to her place to cook and serve dinner (my personal favorite watering hole) and when I asked my favorite maƮtre d' Mina who was watching the Lafayette Street estaurant when they were all at DVF's, she said, "No one. Its dead. It's the Superbowl!" Aha.

But the best is as we wandered in the back we found the real party was a gigantic flat screen projecting the game to diehards like Peggy Siegel, Susan Sarandon, Christian Louboutin, and Barry Diller. As we plopped there and had our dinner in front of the big game, I yakked to Jacob Bernstein from WWD who turns out also to be an Obama fan. (I was wearing my button and when our hostess came to say hello DVF didn't look happy to see me wearing it. I think she's Hillary's girl.) When I complained to Jacob that Mr. Mickey was going to vote for Hillary no matter how much I tried to change his mind he said, "oh that makes perfect sense. It's the "gay male syndrome for Hillary.'" I said "WHA?" He continued, "It really goes back to childhood but there are tons of gay men who were raised by really strong women/divas/mothers and many of them seem to go for the strong woman diva mother type when voting."

AHA! When I told Mickey this, he pointed out today that Perez HIlton also came out yesterday for Hil. Boy, I'd love to meet Perez's mom!
