Fendi Artist Madness

Los Angeles all abuzz over the Fendi shop reopening, which is taking place this coming Wednesday. To celebrate, the Beverly Hills boutique will be auctioning off a bunch of artist-created "Baguette" bags to benefit LACMA. My friend Karen Kimmel was among the illustrious artists invited to participate ( alongside Jeff Koons, Tom Sachs, Will Cotton and others). Check out the fabulous bag she did! The other cool thing they're doing is creating a limited edition line of "do-it-yourself" baguettes out of canvas and leather that come with Pantone markers. The sets sell for $1,300 and will likely be displayed at the Met a few decades from now when they do their huge show about fashion and art -- that I intend to curate!
