As Kris Kristofferson reminded us, Jesus was a Capricorn. So was Elvis Presley, Marlene Dietrich, J.R. Tolkien, Joan of Arc, Muhammand Ali, Barry Goldwater, Rob Zombie, Ricky Martin, Edgar Allan Poe, John Denver, Shari Lewis (Lambchop too?), Susan Lucci, Mel Gibson, Howard Hughes, Mariliyn Manson, Val Kilmer, Richard Nixon, Herman Goering, Al Capone, Mao Tse Tung, Josef Stalin... uh, wait a minute. Sure we can be ambitious, sometimes ruthless but... most of us are softies deep down. At least those of us with our moon in Libra. Let's see. Capricorns....

Eamonn just emailed me today that Bernard Sumner of Joy Division and New Order is a January 4th baby!
Oh yeah, so is Klara Glowczewska, editor of Conde Nast TRAVELER. Hey Klara, can you please please PLEASE assign me another story some day? I'm itchin' to go to Tahiti! Or Bhutan! Or ANYWHERE! But for now we're happy to stay home here in rainy L.A. and be feted at our annual favorite-cake-and-pie party! Pecan Pie! Cherry Pie! German Chocolate Cake! Coconut Cream Pie! Gee, getting old isn't such a drag after all.
