Totally stressful day, y’all! I jaunted on over to the PAPER offices round 2 p.m. (god, so early!) and quickly powwowed with Carol concerning our mutual surmounting desires to burn (possibly) hard-earned funds at the Opening Ceremony sample sale. So we decided to take a “late lunch” and head down to OC's Greene Street showroom at 3 p.m., where we combed the seemingly infinite racks of all of our fave overpriced downtown looks in the pursuit of our usual timelessly subversive style. In the end, Carol was victorious in her finds of an oversized Cloak cardigan and United Bamboo blouse as was I in unearthing this amazing super-long Kim Jones plaid flannel shirt and Sanrio for Alexandre Herchcovitch Hello Kitty T-shirt (only 10 dollars!). We came back from “lunch” at like five with the mysterious addition of several shopping bags in tow met by a few suggestive glares by certain beloved members of our ever laborious PAPER family, but I mean, whatev, sample sales wait for no man, bitches!
