Tuesday got off to a slow start with the average delay of one hour for shows to begin! Ah the glamour never ends! The Wunderkind show was at the Palais de Chaillot and not surprisingly, there were Germans galore at the show, which is designed by Potsdam-based design legend Wolfgang Joop. And that's where the Germanic stuff ended. This show felt like Roberto Cavalli goes to Jaipur! Tons of wild and colorful patterns, lots of natural rattan-style fibers in shoes and jackets and an overall international gypsy flavor. The styling was super fun by Camille Biddault Waddington and the whole vibe was right up our alley.

Later in the day, we headed to the Issey Miyake show, the theme of which was "wind." This was perhaps the first ever fashion show done in collaboration with a vacuum cleaner company. The super hip Dyson took care of the giant tubes that blew strategically aimed air at the models -- and what a relief! These French venues have no AC!!! The collection was classic Miyake, fun and inventive, but we wish they would mix in something a little more normal and modern because a full head to toe Issey look of origami-ed fabric can look a bit extreme! Not that we don't love extreme.

Meanwhile, in appointment news, MM headed over to the Longchamp lunch at the gorgeous Hotel Bristol on the Rue de Faubourg St. Honore. That neighborhood is chichi with a capital chi! The big bag news at Longchamp was the new collaboration between the house and sound designer Michel Gaubert, which included all sorts of music oriented carry-alls: a wheel suitcase for DJs carrying LPs, a case for your various iPods and more. Paris-based fashion icon Diane Pernet entertained the group with tales of her recent Nigerian identity-theft! Yikes!!

You'll never guess what the news was at Swarovski... sparkle!!! And they're right on trend. It seems like everywhere Mr. Mickey turns he sees sequins. And that's just in his own closet! Swarovski really loves the big rocks and so do we. So check out some of the baubles!!!
