You can't judge a book by its cover, but AIGA can! The professional association for design has been holding its "50 Books/50 Covers" competition recognizing great book design for nearly 90 years. Their selections for 2010 will be on display at the AIGA National Design Center starting Thursday, December 8th, through February 23rd, 2012. We've included some of our favorites above, and you can see all finalists here.
